AMAC Project LIFT

The Airport Minority Advisory Council  is a national, non-profit, trade association dedicated to promoting the full participation of small, minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises in airport contracting and the inclusion of minorities and women in employment.

The 2018 Annual Conference will bring over 1200 businesses, aviation professionals, and government officials from around the country August 21 - 25.2018.  Against the backdrop of the conference, the 2018 The Project LIFT event (Leaders Inspiring Future Talent) will provide local students an opportunity to discover new career paths and professions in aerospace and aviation. Interested high school and college students from South King County may participate in this unique, free program to learn about working in such areas as airport business operations, air transportation, aerospace engineering to facilities management.  Students will explore corporate, government and entrepreneurial career paths, mentoring, networking and scholarship opportunities through workshops, interactive sessions, an aviation career panel and an exclusive King County International Airport (KCIA) tour.

Select Project LIFT participants will also be afforded access to several events over the course of the AMAC conference providing hands-on experiences, additional networking with AMAC members and volunteer service hour opportunities.  Youth, particularly minorities and women, will be provided an engaging informational day on aviation and aviation-related careers, STEM careers, and educational paths to success.

Project LIFT is a program of the AMAC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works alongside AMAC and is dedicated to advancing minorities and women pursuing careers in the aviation industry.
